The 47th ASEAN Summit was recently held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As one of the region’s most important high-level meetings of the year, the summit brought together the heads of state and government from the 10 ASEAN member countries, along with nearly 30 leaders from major international dialogue partners, including the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea. It marked the largest ASEAN Summit in history.
